I mis the lively conversations, and semi-random thread diversions, but Jaiku is still here (and a few of us never left, so the lights have stayed on!). Nice to see that some of the old folks are still poping back in.
Shame that @wendelboe decided to leave, I guess he never made the effort to find some new interesting people to follow (so the page does not stay the same)
And with becoming OpenSource, now has a couple more contributors of code, so we can see slow movement forward :)
I'm not saying I'll never use Jaiku again, but most of the people in this thread is more active on Twitter anyway, and with Tweetie, I almost get threaded conversations over there - Jaiku has a looooong way to go, to be as efficient..
@kimbach is right.. Using Jaiku only for saying how much we miss Jaiku, is not going to bring it back.. If we could only pipe our tweets and FB-updates here, we might be able to kick start the conversation again.. People posting too much, is a luxurious problem I haven't had here in a while..
Quite frankly. Jaiku IS dead. Like I wrote last month, it has been washed away by a HUGE Wave, it's ALL I need from a collaboration took. Goodbye and thanks for the all the fish
Wave is very good in some respects. But it's not Jaiku and it's not the only way that people can collaborate online.
In a year's time those words will seem as premature as people like Lord Kelvin saying "heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible." There are many interesting ways that people combine collaboration, mobile technology, location and their social graph to do build interesting services for small groups. They haven't all been explored yet.
Also there's something ironic about posting on Jaiku to tell people that Jaiku is dead.
Ironic, not really. Actually my favorite collaboration tool is wikis, unfortunately the learning curve is steep, it is too for wave. Don't get of wrong I love Jaiku, the problem is with the users, and the strange fact that Jaiku doesn't have a search like twitter has. Currently I don't need Jaiku, and I doubt that I ever will again, but it's up to you my dear friends, so SHARE YOUR SHIT...HERE :-)

@marks misses Jaiku? I'm surprised! Stop the meta-talk though, and write something interesting, and I'll be back in two shakes of tweetybirds tail

(Jaiku remains the best lightweight dialogue tool out-there - which is pretty amazing)

LOL as much as we like the markup language of Jaiku, it's not so good when you have underscores in your name

a lot of people are using google Apps for groups and I think integrating google wave into google apps will be good.

I miss it too. Miss the feeds actually. Once my start page was jaiku but now it is just blank. Should I change it back!!!
